How come the percentage of age 16-20 is higher than I aspect? Am I to late?? I already 25 year old

wow... i am one of the few sempai in reading yaoi... well yaoi is always open for anyone

Well, the question was "YAOI/SHOUNEN-AI"?
So it's not surprising that people were reading it at a younger age, since it depends on your definition of "SHOUNEN-AI". I've seen slashable couples in mainstream manga that send some girls into giggling fits.

I was in my 20s when I started reading yaoi. Over 100 elementary school students reading yaoi...wow.

I didn't start reading manga or yaoi until I was in my 40's. My daughter started me in both. When she introducted me to Yaoi she was in the 14-16 age group.

hahaha i was 8 when i started reading Yaoi >.> i think my sister had some lying around thats when i read some by accident , but it looked pretty cool at the cover though i even asked my sister why 2 males were doing wrestling in the bed naked

I started when I was around 14..I'm 25 years old now..Time flies!

Yaoi didn't really get over to the US until I was older than 40.

I was first drunk with 13.....smoked my first cigarette with 14......first boyfriend: 16..........beginning to read yaoi with (I don't know exactly) 23, 24?......how innocent I was *lol*, kinda late bloomer in this aspect

I didn't know Yaoi existed until about 3 years ago. I was fifty then. I quickly made up for being behind the times by buying every yaoi manga Amazon and anyone else had to offer. I was thrilled to discover scanlation groups. It's wonderful to have someone translating all these unlicensed stories!

I love most of the story lines, & half the time the yaoi/shonen-ai story lines are better than most of the regular story lines. Not to mention the romantic ones are usually so touching and beautiful that it seem as if you can really feel the emotions & love between the characters.

i started reading BL when I was around 15 I think, now I'm 25 and still love it so much~ <3333

I was about 20 i believe when i read my first one, at the time i did not know what yaoi even was or that the manga i had downloaded was yaoi. I just kind of looked at it and was like "Gay romance stories.......im pretty sure im straight......why cant i put this damn thing down......is a straight guy suppose to be enjoying reading this.....did he just put his penis in the girlie one's bottom........wow"

Four years later and im now gayer then a two dollar bill with pink highlights.......Thank you japanese anime/manga and pretty male pop stars, you have changed my life ^_^

you know before, u can just download yaoi without age approve, so then my first time read yaoi is when i was 16. God i was so shock, but could not stop reading it. now, i'm addicted to yaoi,

Most younger people get into things by being curious. Huhuhu. I'm addicted to it and probably always will be. If I ever have children I'm probably going to have a secret bookshelf.

I was very young when I began readin' yaoi.First it was slash with LotR then I became interested in HP slash eventually I found yaoi and I think I was around 10 or 11.Very young,eh?
